From June 9th to 11th, 2026, The Big 5 Construct South Africa, a major industry exhibition, was held at the Gallagher Convention Center in Johannesburg. As a Chinese brand with the leading market share in the African construction machinery sector, Qunfeng Machinery once again appeared at the exhibition with its latest technological innovations and block making solutions. Thanks to the long-term established brand reputation in Africa and the rich experience of deeply participating in major infrastructure projects in the region, many industry players have come here, gathering to jointly explore new opportunities for infrastructure development and green low-carbon growth in Africa.

The Big 5 South Africa is one of the largest and most influential trade exhibitions for the building and construction industry in Africa, bringing together top global manufacturers and buyers. In recent years, the South African government has continuously increased investment in infrastructure, advancing a large number of key projects ranging from livelihood initiatives—such as water supply and affordable housing—to transportation infrastructure like ports and highway networks. Amidst this wave of construction activity, Qunfeng Machinery has played a pivotal role in numerous key projects, leveraging its significant market share in South Africa’s block-making equipment sector. The impressive, tangible results of these projects have made Qunfeng Machinery the top choice for local building materials companies seeking equipment.

At the exhibition site, many local customers from South Africa came to visit. The head of a large construction materials enterprise from Gauteng Province said, “We introduced our first Qunfeng QS1000 production line in 2019, and it has been running stably for nearly 7 years. During this period, we compared the equipment from Europe and Turkey, but in terms of cost performance, after-sales service, and spare parts supply, Qunfeng was the most suitable choice for the South African market. Now that the company is expanding production, we are focusing on Qunfeng equipment and plan to go to China for an on-site inspection at the end of the month.”

Another municipal engineering contractor from the Western Cape also made a special visit to the Qunfeng booth. He explained that local authorities require all municipal paving bricks to meet strict standards for high strength and high permeability; as equipment previously purchased from other brands could no longer meet these requirements, he was considering adopting Qunfeng’s machinery to upgrade his operations. He pointed out that for infrastructure projects in South Africa, equipment downtime results in massive losses. The fact that Qunfeng Machinery maintains a local technical service center offering 24/7 after-sales support was the key factor in his decision to choose the company.

At the exhibition, a representative from a major Zimbabwean building materials group confirmed their intention to purchase two QS1300 fully automatic production lines on the spot, after making a direct, side-by-side comparison of products from various brands. The client stated that the decision to choose Qunfeng Machinery was driven not only by the company’s brand influence but, more importantly, by the actual performance of the equipment. The client plans to visit a Qunfeng Machinery customer site after the exhibition to further inspect the equipment’s real-world application.

Qunfeng Machinery has extensively optimized its equipment to handle the complex operating conditions—such as fluctuating power supplies—often encountered in Africa. The equipment, featuring a third-generation servo-vibration system, operates reliably despite voltage instability, delivering a 3–5% increase in efficiency and a 12% reduction in energy consumption. Constructed from high-strength alloy, the machine ensures high-precision molding even under continuous, heavy-load operations. Furthermore, Qunfeng maintains a local presence in Africa with a comprehensive technical support network, minimizing downtime caused by malfunctions and ensuring stable production for customers.

In the future, Qunfeng Machinery will continue to focus on the African market. Relying on the dual-wheel drive strategy of “high - tech products + in - depth local services”, it will continuously increase its market share. Meanwhile, Qunfeng will actively participate in Africa’s infrastructure construction and industrial upgrading. With more intelligent, greener, and more reliable building material equipment, it will assist Africa in achieving the goals of infrastructure upgrading and circular economy development.
