Qunfeng Machinery Solid Waste Resource Utilization Production Line
Our country is currently intensifying investment in the green and environmental protection sectors and rolling out a series of environmental policies, with solid waste management emerging as a top priority. In 2025, the Ministry of Finance allocated a combined 56 billion rmb in budgetary funds for environmental governance; meanwhile, the 113 pilot cities designated for “Zero-Waste City” development have collectively implemented over 3,000 solid waste management projects, with investments totaling approximately 560 billion rmb. Solid waste treatment typically pursues the threefold objectives of reduction, harmless disposal, and resource recovery, with resource recovery regarded as the key pathway to resolving the dual challenges of solid waste pollution and resource scarcity. Using block making equipment such as Qunfeng Machinery’s intelligent block machines to transform solid waste that is difficult to reduce at the source (such as mine tailings and construction demolition debris) into recycled products like permeable bricks, masonry blocks, and curbstones, thereby reintegrating them into the circular economy, serves as a vivid example of the resource utilization of solid waste.
China is a major generator of solid waste. According to the ‘2025 Bulletin on the State of China’s Ecological Environment’, the volume of general industrial solid waste generated nationwide in 2025 was 4.41 billion tons, with 2.65 billion tons undergoing comprehensive utilization; the total annual volume of all types of solid waste including industrial solid waste, construction waste, municipal solid waste, agricultural solid waste, and hazardous waste exceeds 11 billion tons. Among these, the annual generation of construction waste exceeds 2 billion tons. In the early stages, solid waste treatment in my country primarily relied on sanitary landfilling and incineration, with a focus on eliminating environmental hazards. However, as the economy grows rapidly and the conflict regarding resource supply becomes increasingly acute, my country’s solid waste management focus is gradually shifting toward “resource recovery and utilization,” driven by the dual forces of technological evolution and policy guidance. The ‘Action Plan for Comprehensive Solid Waste Management’, issued by the State Council, explicitly proposes leveraging the resource utilization of solid waste as a core driver to spur the development of upstream and downstream industries; it sets targets for 2030 to achieve an annual comprehensive utilization volume of 4.5 billion tons for bulk solid waste and 510 million tons for major renewable resources.
The intelligent block making machine developed by Qunfeng Machinery is a representative piece of equipment in this wave of transformation. As an industry benchmark enterprise established in 1995, Qunfeng Machinery operates a state-of-the-art, intelligent block-making machine manufacturing base spanning 215,000 square meters. The company maintains two major R&D centers, brings together hundreds of industry experts from home and abroad, and has established strategic partnerships with numerous renowned universities and research institutions. To date, the company has secured over 500 valid authorized patents, including 48 invention patents, and has played a significant role in formulating 45 national and industry standards(comprising 8 national standards and 15 industry standards). Qunfeng Machinery has been honored with titles such as National High-Tech Enterprise, National-Level Green Factory, and National-Level Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative (SRDI) “Little Giant” Enterprise.
Qunfeng Machinery’s QS series intelligent block-making machine is a flagship product for the resource utilization of solid waste. It utilizes a proprietary four-axis coordinated servo-vibration system, enabling high-frequency, low-amplitude vibration and ultra-high-speed acceleration during the molding process. Equipped with a rotary material feeder, the machine overcomes the challenges traditional equipment faces regarding aggregate compatibility, allowing it to process a wide range of solid waste materials such as construction waste, industrial slag, fly ash, and furnace slag. This model efficiently produces a wide range of products, including eco-friendly permeable bricks, colored paving bricks, standard blocks, porous bricks, curbstones, and turf pavers, as well as specialized bricks for airports and terminals. The resulting products feature high permeability, excellent strength, cost-effectiveness, and superior weather resistance, fully meeting the rigorous quality standards for permeable paving materials required in “Sponge City” construction.
In terms of technical performance, Qunfeng’s intelligent block-making machines feature a sophisticated, impressive design, with performance metrics benchmarked against advanced international standards. Their integrated mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems utilize high-quality international components, ensuring stable and smooth automated production line operation. Intelligent control reduces labor costs by 15%, while electro-hydraulic integration boosts production output by 20%; a suspended vibration system cuts noise pollution by 10%, and a fault alarm system reduces troubleshooting time by 30%. The intelligent molding system achieves precision control within ±0.5 mm, surpassing EU CE standards. Qunfeng’s products are exported to 120 countries and regions worldwide, serving over 10,000 customers.
In a practical application, a construction waste recycling and utilization project in Quanzhou invested at 120 million rmb through a partnership between Qunfeng Machinery, Quanzhou Financial Holdings Group, and Nan’an Industrial Park Group has successfully commenced operations; the facility has a single-shift processing capacity of 2,000 tons of construction waste, while the block production line can output 60,000 cubic meters of standard blocks or 240,000 square meters of Dutch pavers annually on a single-shift basis. An environmental protection enterprise in Nanjing has partnered with Qunfeng Machinery to establish a solid waste recycling and processing base, actively responding to the call for building “Zero-Waste Cities.” Solid waste resource utilization projects across regions such as Guangdong and Fujian have adopted Qunfeng’s fully automated production lines, serving as local benchmarks for solid waste recycling.
Long-term trends indicate that the volume of solid waste generated in my country will continue to rise, with the accumulated stock of industrial solid waste exceeding 33 billion tons. Accelerating resource recovery and utilization is the only way to fundamentally alleviate the pressure of solid waste pollution while reducing the economy’s excessive reliance on virgin resources, a strategy proven effective by the experience of many developed nations. It is evident that my country’s solid waste resource utilization sector offers vast market opportunities and development potential, and is poised to drive further innovative projects and technological breakthroughs. With technological innovation at its core and leveraging proprietary technologies, Qunfeng Machinery will continue to inject continuous momentum into the green circular economy.
